Martsishor Evening Review

With around 100 people, the Jordanian Romanian Forum for Culture had this year's celebration on the occasion of martsishor, which was held Thursday 28 Feb 2009.

The attendants, members of the forum along with their friends and families, enjoyed a variety program full of Jordanian, Arabic, English and Romanian music of all kinds, and full of surprises and prizes!

30 ladies and mothers 1st of all received Martsishors, creatively made and provided exclusively to our forum by ADORE, at Centerpoint Mecca Mall. While the young guys and ladies famed the mascard ball with all kinds of interesting costumes making the whole history and the whole world joined in 1 place. As they dressed up from doctors to princesses, from Ancient Romans to Bedouin Arabs, from army commanders to pirates, and from witches and magicians to warehouse men (or women!), and not to forget dresses from several fast east countries, and even Miss Jordan was present there :D

The best costumes were cheered by the public, resulting in 3 winners of 2 facial and nick massage sessions each from ARMONIA SPA, and 1 Motorola Mobile phone from Orange Mobile.

Thats beside 20 Orange Mobile lines that were given away for 20 people in different competitions and missions.

And before the end of the evening, the child that convinced us that his mother is the best in the world, won a special facial and nick massage session from ARMONIA SPA , 5th circle. To treat his mom in her day in a special way.

We at the forum thank each and every person for participation, and truly hope that we have made your weekend before the storm had begun. While for those who missed it, all we can say now is that you missed up good treats and entertainment. And all we can help you with in this rainy stormy weather is give you some photos from the event.

See you soon in more activities ;) and like always, from the community and for it. JRFC will remain the young heart and spirit of the Jordanian Romanian community, and the dynamic active parts of it.

Event Review, Romanian Movie Days - 2nd Edition

With a massive success, The 2nd edition of the Romanian Movie Days in Jordan was wrapped last friday, with over 170 people from different nationalities and ages attending the 1st night, which included an opening ceremony by the Romanian folkloric group "Dimitru Zamfira", and continued with the projection of 3 short romanian movies, "Duty", "A short ride" , and the Cannes 2008 winner, "Megatron".

Also, on the 2nd day, around 30 people enjoyed 2 classic romanian movies, "Padureance" and "Stefan Luchian", the attendants of the 2nd night might have been small in number, but from a pretty culturally selective class, from both the Jordanian Romanian Community, as well as Jordanians and expats living in Jordan.

Here are some photos from the opening ceremony.
