Dear friends ... Dear members of JRFC ...

We are happy to announce you that JRFC will organize a trip to Aqaba.

we plan to meet on 31 August the 2nd day of Eid and we will stay there 2 nights in 2 separate apartments, one for boys and one for girls.

we shall leave Amman at 5 AM from out side of king Hussein park and we will use our cars for transportation, who doesn't have a car my come with us in limits of available places or can goo with JET buses and we will met in Aqaba bus station to collect them to go to rented apartment to leave our stuff.

In first day we will go from the apartments to meet the JRFC members from Aqaba and we will go to the beach to start our vacation.

in the afternoon we will go to eat ( every one is free to decide what he wants to eat and the pay for the food will be individual ).

after lunch we have different options to spend the time ( 1. Visit the aquarium, 2. go to the beach, 3. other suggestion :P )

in the evening we will light a fire on the beach and have karaoke night ( foc de tabara ),

next day on morning we will go to have breakfast at Al Muhandes restaurant for the traditional HOMOS, Fuuul And Falafel Fa6ur.

after breakfast we have 2 options: get to the bazar for shooing or get to beach for morning swim.

at night we will prepare for Beach Party and we will dance and have fun until our feet will hurt or the police will kik us out :))

in the 3rd day we will get breakfast and decide what we will do untel we say bye to the sea.

at 3 pm we will leave Aqaba.

TRIP COSTS:-
1. Rent money: the cost for apartment will be divided between the occupants;
2. Transport : the cost for petrol will be divided between the passengers;
3. Individual costs : Food, Shopping, Admission Tickets ( Aquarium, glass boat ... etc )

Reservation:-
We will meet on 27 August at 9 pm in King Hussein Park for reservation and collecting an advance of 20 JD to pay the rent and to register the participants name.

Ambasada Romaniei are deosebita placere de a va informa ca Departamentul pentru Romanii de Pretutindeni a dezvoltat un curs de limba romana in varianta electronica, adresat romanilor din afara granitelor care nu au studiat intr-o institutie de invatamant cu predare in aceasta limba, precum si tuturor celor care doresc sa isi exerseze si sa isi perfectioneze cunostintele acumulate.

Proiectul este unul inedit, fiind printre putinele resurse electronice disponibile momentan care permit invatarea limbii noastre, mai ales pentru tinerii romano-iordanieni care doresc sa studieze in Romania.

The Jordanian Romanian forum for Culture has held on the 3rd of March 2011 a successful workshop in Mecca mall , on the occasion of The Martsishor day.

We were able to make and distribute more than 200 Martsishors for the public who were amazed by the process and idea.

Traditia martisorului este o mostenire de la stramosii romani. Cuvântul are origini latine, reprezentând denumirea lunii martie. Initial, martisorul era simbolizat printr-o moneda. Ulterior a luat forma unor mici pietre de râu vopsite în rosu si alb.

Cele doua fire de lâna sau matase – unul alb si altul rosu – pe care femeia cea mai batrâna din familie trebuia sa le rasuceasca împreuna pentru a confectiona câte un martisor fiecarui membru al familiei, indiferent de sex si vârsta, reprezinta una dintre modalitatile de concretizare a stravechilor credinte legate de sosirea primaverii.

şnurul mărţişorului, prin cromatica sa, are rolul de a împleti viaţa cu lumina, oferind oamenilor, dar şi casei şi copacilor, şansa de a se bucura în respectivul an de forţă şi vitalitate, de rodnicie şi belşug, de frumuseţe şi noroc. "Cine poartă mărţişoare / Nu va fi pârlit de soare", se crede în multe regiuni ale ţării.

În trecut, fiecare categorie de vârstă purta mărţişorul într-o manieră specifică. Fetele de măritat făceau din mărţişor un adevărat colier. Pe firul alb cu roşu, ele treceau un ban de aur sau de argint, din salba mamelor, şi-l legau apoi în jurul gâtului. În această variantă, mărţişorului i se adaugă prestigiul simbolic al metalului preţios - aur sau argint -, care în mentalitatea populară semnifica strălucirea şi căldura Soarelui şi, respectiv, fecunditatea Lunii. Pentru fetele de măritat, mărţişorul devenea o amuletă apărătoare a integrităţii fizice şi mentale, dar şi o podoabă, capabilă a le spori frumuseţea fizică. Copiii purtau mărţişorul legat la încheietura mâinii drepte, ca să-i apere de frig şi de răceli şi "ca să nu-i scuture frigurile peste vară". Femeile căsătorite nu purtau mărţişorul la vedere; ele îl legau în jurul taliei, pe sub cămaşă, ca să le ocrotească "pântecele cel roditor de viaţă", la cele tinere, şi să le "întărească şalele", la cele bătrâne. Feciorii şi bărbaţii purtau şi ei mărţişoare. Cel mai adesea, mărţişorul se prindea la pălărie sau la căciulă, ca o podoabă, menită a-i proteja. În satul tradiţional se credea că bărbaţii trebuie să poarte astfel mărţişorul deoarece "bărbatul este capul familiei" şi trebuie apărat.

"În unele zone, mărţişorul se poartă 9 zile, până la Mucenici (Cei 40 de mucenici din Sevastia). Dacă ne raportăm la datina "lepădării" mărţişorului la Mucenici, putem vorbi în cazul acestei practici şi de o conexiune cu semnificaţia creştină a sărbătorii religioase, în sensul conceptului de sacrificiu; firul mărţişorului este sacrificat/aruncat, la data celebrării celor 40 de Mucenici. În alte cazuri, mărţişorul se poartă însă până când înfloresc măceşii sau florile din grădină. Fetele îşi lasă şnurul pe flori, având convingerea că se vor bucura de frumuseţea şi gingăşia acestora. Prin transfer magic de calităţi, dinspre regnul vegetal spre om, ele speră să dobândească o piele albă şi obraji rumeni, devenind aidoma florilor, frumoase şi iubite de toată lumea. Femeile măritate legau şnurul mărţişorului pe crengile înflorite ale unui arbore roditor, sperând că, tot prin transferul magic de calităţi, vor avea parte de "rodnicie şi noroc" în viaţă şi în familie"

Va informam ca Ambasada a primit, spre documentare si distribuire catre membrii comunitatii romanesti din Iordania, un set de brosuri, in limbile engleza si araba, cu informatii despre atributiile Departamentului pentru Protectia Familiei din Directoratul Securitatii Publice al Regatului Hasemit al Iordaniei.

Va prezentam traducerea neoficiala in limba romana a continutului brosurii, iar anexat, copia acestei brosuri:

Departamentul pentru Protectia Familiei este specializat in gestionarea urmatoarelor cazuri:

- Abuzuri sexuale savarsite impotriva barbatilor si femeilor, indiferent de varsta victimei si daca agresorul provine sau nu din familia victimei;

- Cazuri de violenta domestica si neglijenta savarsite impotriva copiilor, daca agresorul provine din familia victimei;

- Abuzuri fizice savarsite impotriva fetelor aflate la varsta pubertatii, daca agresorul provine din familia victimei;

Mecanismele de gestionare a cazurilor:

Departamentul pentru Protectia Familiei gestioneaza cazurile de mai sus in conformitate cu urmatoarele principii:

- Confidentialitate;

- Luarea in considerare a conditiilor sociale punctuale;

- Chestionarea victimelor copii sau femei se va face de catre ofiteri de politie femei special pregatite, in incaperi destinate special acestui scop;

- Chestionarea victimelor se va face de ofiteri de politie de acelasi sex;

- In caz de nevoie, examinarea medicala a victimelor se va face la sediul Departamentului;

- Furnizarea de asistenta sociala si consiliere;

- Furnizarea de asistenta psihiatrica;

Modul de primire a plangerilor:

- Direct de la victime sau de la parintii acestora;

- Prin intermediul sectiilor de politie;

- Prin intermediul ministerelor, institutiilor guvernamentale, ONG-uri sau alte institutii;

- Prin intermediul numarului de urgenta 911, non-stop;

- Prin e-mail.

Victimele abuzurilor sunt protejate prin cazarea in urmatoarele camine:

- (copii) Dar Al Amman – Jordan River Foundation;

- (copii) Children Care Houses – Ministerul Dezvoltarii Sociale;

- (femei) Dal Al Wifaq Al Usari – Ministerul Dezvoltarii Sociale.

This is not a text that I write just to see how people may understand, and writing this is not something I can do everyday…. But I needed to talk loud about jrfc, and to wish everyone a happy new year

Lately I was so busy that I forgot what is important and what is not, and now looking back it is like I walked so far and so fast that those who made me become the person that I am had disappeared somewhere in the past, and when I woke up I found myself responsible about many changes in other people’s life, I found myself an icon for many people around me especially children that I opened many doors for them to a different horizon but I couldn’t do anything to change myself.

Now that I look back, I feel that maybe I did that because I wanted others to escape the unpleasant experiences that I had in my life, the damages I had to rebuild and the tears I had to cry as a part of the understanding and growing process, I thought that I may be able to save their tears and to ease their pain. I know abused Childs that are so creative and clever although their life is a hell, violent parents, poor families, and old people begging for some food…. Many painful facts that we pass by every single day and pretend that it is not a part of our lives,

In life we can not have everything we want; a part of me tries to convince me to give up all the cultural activities that we at the JRFC organize, why to bother when some people doesn’t even care to get themselves out of their shell, but then a call comes from a person or another who tries to help, or have an idea, or just simply calls to thank us for our efforts, and I remember that we became a big family, all for change, all for a better future, a better life and MORE FREEDOM.

During the JRFC project, I have met great people, youth who wants to make a better world for ourselves and our children, young people who care, and have the ability to apply their thoughts, to inspire others, to fight till the last moment for their beliefs, to make their parents understand that change is good, and that we are young but we have faith, fragile but strong enough to stand still when life demands….. and with them I have learnt that I can not give up when people look up to you and I should always be the person they have in mind as a friend, sister, or a president that must take decisions although they know well that sometimes I make mistakes and many times they get me out of disappointments.

I am not Jesus to save all those people from their lives, I am just one girl that some may consider weird while others see me as a super girl, some are so in love with me while others may see me as a shallow person, many wish to hear a word from me while others may not want to reply when I send a message… that made me wander… do I have a double life?? A double personality?? Or am I living in a schizophrenic world? I know am a person with a temper sometimes but I believe that anyone who looks carefully will see the true person inside, but we became so busy with ourselves that we forgot the simple things around us.

I have learned –the hard way- many things during the last year of my life, but I never understood those who doesn’t have the ability to open their lives to others, we r all humans, we are all some closed rooms with doors but you can socialize with anyone if you found his key, and it is so strange that others can not believe that u just try to be a friend, you are nice without anything in return, you want them in your life to help you grow, to give you the feeling of belonging and protection and satisfy all those basic human needs…. I can not be one of (Don’t tell anyone)’s group, why don’t we start a new day, tell others that you are happy or sad, tell others that you love them, tell them that you care, or at least accept people who care into your life just the way they are instead of judging …… that what makes our lives worth

JRFC Trip to Petra and Wadi Rum - Event Review

On friday, 9th of October 2009. The Jordanian Romanian Forum for Culture held a cultural and entertaining trip for their members, friends, and families to Petra and Wadi Rum.

with a big group of 41. The trip was a huge success and a great fun for all the people who participated, aging from 7 years old up to 28.

We Also celebrated several birthdays of several members of the forum with a big party at the treasury in Petra.

With 18 participants , JRFC and its members had fun in the ramadani night of 14 September, 2009.

Forum members had a fun evening and a bingo night at Sheesha, Amman West Hotel. and even had a winner between us :) Omar Abbadi who won an LG mobile after completing the bingo sheet as required

We will all meet up, enjoy a nice ramadani iftar together from the variety of restaurants available at the food court, and play some fun games afterward.

JRFC Football match, Event Review

The JRFC Held a football match on saturday the 25th of July 2009 in Al-Ahli Club near the 8th circle, between the forum's team, entitled (Teneretul Atletic ROMan - TAROM), against the Royal Jordanian Airlines team.

The game was a nice chance for members and friends of the forum to know each other better on the game field, as well as in supporting their team as far as the public was concerned.

Hope to see you soon in more sports activities after ramadan :)
